Heidi is the author of several books, including Becoming MomStrong: How to Fight with All That's in You for Your Family and Your Faith and its corresponding Becoming MomStrong Bible Study, as well her latest, MomStrong 365:A One Year Devotional to Encourage and Empower Everyday Moms. Her podcast, “Off the Bench with Heidi St. John” is nearing 20 million downloads and is available wherever podcasts can be found.

Heidi has been married to Jay, her college sweetheart, since 1989. The St. Johns reside just outside beautiful Vancouver, Washington, where their non-profit organization, Firmly Planted Family, and the Homeschool Resource Center is based. The St. Johns have seven children, all of whom have been homeschooled, and four grandchildren.

Heidi is the author ofThe Busy Homeschool Mom’s Guide to Romance: Nurturing Your Marriage Through the Homeschool Years. Her second book,The Busy Homeschool Mom’s Guide to Daylight, was released early in 2012. She is the creator of a journal for moms calledWords Along the Way: A Busy Mom's Journalwhich emphasizes the joys of journaling through the journey of motherhood.Her most recent book,Bible Promises for Momsreleased March 2019 and is the latest in the MomStrong collection.Becoming MomStrong: How to Fight With All That's In You For Your Family and Your Faith, released in the fall of 2017 along with a companion Bible Study, Journal andPrayers for the Battlefield: Staying MomStrong in the Fight for Your Family and Your Faith. Heidi has also launched MomStrong International, and online and in real life ministry, in 2018, where she is equipping Christian women around the world to fight for their family and their faith through weekly Bible Studies and Scripture

A passion for ministry

Jay and Heidi are also the founders and executive directors of Firmly Planted Family Ministries, a parachurch organization dedicated to training and equipping parents to disciple their children by focusing on “the things of first importance” (1 Cor 15:3). Firmly Planted Family Ministries has been in operation since 2000 and has benefited thousands of families across North America and Europe.

The St. Johns travel and speak together throughout the year, encouraging couples in their marriages and training and equipping parents to disciple their children as part of their daily family life, using God's Word as their primary vehicle for spiritual growth and discussion.
